The Hornets will be looking to turn things around in their first conference home game of the 2022 season as they celebrate Homecoming. Last year, the Eagles pulled out a late victory in overtime, defeating the Hornets 34-28. North Carolina Central leads the series 20-7 (3-2 in Alumni Stadium).

Howard is looking to continue climbing the MEAC standings this weekend at William “Dick” Price Stadium against a Norfolk State team coming off a bye week. Last weekend, the Bison defeated Delaware State 35-17, moving them up to a tie for first in the MEAC, and head coach Larry Scott’s group plans to use that momentum to end a three-game losing streak against the Spartans. Howard leads the all-time series 18-9, even though the Spartans escaped Washington, D.C., with a 45-31 victory last season. The Bison last defeated the Spartans in 2017 (28-24 in Washington, D.C.).
